Mediated Metacognitive Meditation

1. Iteration:

For this assignment I chose to work on is Module 2. AKA the Digital Culture project. When I did this initially I had signed up for my own channel but hadn’t looked into anything further. So I did some research on how to promote and develop your own YouTube channel.

You can read those links here:

https://blog.hootsuite.com/how-to-promote-your-youtube-channel/

I even found a YouTube post on how to create a successful YouTube channel.

2. Reflection

When I initially began this reflection I wished to focus on my editing skills. Realizing this, it lead me to fixate on the obsession with a new laptop (assuming thats the only issue with developing this skill), with a more modern camera and editing programs etc. Lesson learned, life is more fun and challenging when you have to work for something you want. Nothing in life (should) or is handed down to you. It isn’t always as simple as out with the old laptop and in with the new. So I have decided to continue to watch tutorials and save up for either a new camera or to try and purchase a modern film editing program for my channel. Another goal is to develop more followers based on a variety of topics I would prefer to cover on my channel. From faith, to food, to sports, to mental health issues I want to cover everything I can.

3. Sharing

For a final product I worked on practicing some skills we have learned. So I chose to work on GIF’s and editing videos; like I have mentioned above. Here is a GIF I was inspired by when I looked up Video editing bloopers

Here is a quick video with some edits of me being ridiculous. I hope it puts a smile on your face, like it did mine.

Thank you for reading my blog.

XOXO
