Week 5 Day 1 Progress

Good evening everyone and thank you for reading my blog today. I wanted to provide an update as to where I am in the final week of our class. Today our professor asked us to accomplish a few things this week so I began with the smaller tasks. These tasks are listed below:

  1. The final project: This will be very difficult for me because I loved taking this course and challenging myself to learn and practices these skills. I enjoyed working with my classmates and seeing their success. So I will be skimming students projects and seeing their progress throughout the semester. As well as, I will be reaching out to a few classmates to see their thoughts on what they will be doing for their final project. This will help to guide me in the right direction.
  2. Find Connection through encouragement: I have made a few comments throughout the course and I have added 3 more to other students profiles.
  3. Tidy up your WordPress

Below is a screenshot of the updates I have added to the front page of my website. I love the new style and the side bar for the interactive portions as well as the varying sizes in texts and clear sense of organization.

  • Installatron settings: Luckily, at the beginning of this course I went ahead and skimmed over the website. When doing this, I entertained myself by changing different settings and seeing what I did and did not understand.
  • Comments: Finding how to change this setting was rather challenging so I have provided screenshots of what my view shows and where I found the directions to accomplish this.
  • Install and activate plugins: This step was rather simple for me because I had already set up the automatic updates with email notifications. Every day my email is blown up with notifications on updates and backup attempts. You can view a screenshot of my view below.

Thank you for reading my blog.
